2027 SEASON East of the mississippi

General General Discussion
1

I just discovered NRL recently and shot my first match at Mossy Pond in the Skills division. I lucked into meeting two gents from South Alabama who took me under their wing and gave me a ton of help, even let me use some of their equipment - tripod, bags, bipods, etc. They were just awesome! Anyway, I was wondering if there is a dedicated season for NRL or if it is more ad hoc in terms of the schedule and location. Also, from what I’ve seen on the forums, it seems like NRL might not have the momentum to be sustainable long-term. I am hopeful it is just that folks don’t use the forums and that the org is here to stay for a while.

NRL is certainly here for the long term. Its by far the best match format of any ‘precision’ style. PRS is just stupid- you know the ranges and where the targets are before time starts!

There are many more matches in the western US, but more are coming east

The 2026 season just ended. Check Completed Matches | NRL Hunter and you’ll see all that happened for the season. 2027 will have just as many matches. It’s got a lot of momentum. The forums just don’t get a lot of traffic because the NRL facebook group is so active: https://www.facebook.com/groups/nrlhuntercommunitygroup (recommend joining it)

That is good news. I will check out FB

Hey Mr Macey! Glad we were squadded together. It was a fun match for sure. It was fun watching you clean the last stage. NRL Hunter is by far my favorite series out of all the disciplines I compete in and it is growing at record pace. There were several east coast matches this year and I assume more will be added for the next season. Like Clint said, the FB groups are where you will find most of the information. Check the schedule on the website under “Hunter Games” for any matches in your area while we wait on the new 2 Day schedule for next year.

Hi Jesse! Nice to hear from you. Everything you said sounds positive. As I said, I would hate to start a new, interesting endeavor only to see it dissolve over time. But, hey, I did get y’all to use the forum some
