What is your favorite tripod for NRLH and why?
I’m currently loving the T3 Optics Dauntless M since it checks every box for me
- Two section
- Inverted
- Anvil style head
- Large legs
- Short throw leg locks with water resistant seals
- Lightweight still
Fast to deploy and super stable
Two Vet inverted QDT V2 Inverted for teams and Two Vet Recon V2 inverted for shooting individual.
I’ve been running the T3 Dauntless inverted 2 section also. It has been great for me.
I think inverted tripods offer such big advantages over regular tripods that it’s the way to go moving forward. I use the PRSTF inverted trinity 3 section. Easier to fly with.
Another PRSTF T3 Optics Dauntless user. Deploy to the second leg stop for seated/kneeling glassing and shooting.

Another T3 Dauntless user, with Anvil 30. Thinking about trying the Dauntless M, but will be sticking with the Dauntless.
Dauntless for me also. I’ve added to brass weights for additional stability.
We use two of the RRS 43i for the rear and shooting positions. I really like them for their speed of deployment and ease of use.
We use the 22i for the spotter. We used the 22ic before the 43i was released, but it’s only good for the gun. It’s too short for a full standing rear support.
They’re not cheap, but good gear never is.
I’d have to say the RRS SOAR tripod. It’s incredibly stable, lightweight, and quick to deployeverything you want for NRL Hunter where every second and every ounce matters.
